Foreign Minister Attends Bureau of ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly

Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Carl B. Greenidge, recently represented the Co-operative Republic of Guyana in Brussels, Belgium at the Bureau of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP)- European Union (EU) Joint Parliamentary Assembly and the three Standing Committees: Committee on Political Affairs , Committee on Economic Development, Finance and Trade and Committee on Social Affairs and the Environment. 

Discussions were held on the future of ACP-EU cooperation where, among other areas, representatives looked at the strategic significance of the partnership, the effects of and responses to cybercrime in the Caribbean region, drug trafficking, as well as the body’s collaboration with other regional organizations.
